 OUR MISSION

The organization facilitates further development of theory and practice of accounting and auditing in Uzbekistan in compliance with market as well as international accounting standards (IAS) requirements, advocates and protects the rights and interests of professional accountants and auditors, and supports development of their activities.

The Association as well:

  • Unites on voluntary basis professional accountants and auditors, expresses interests there of, ensures protection of their interests, and rights of members of the Association;
  • Supports economic reforms (through accounting reform) in Uzbekistan;
  • Promotes enhancement of the professional level of accountants and auditors in conformity with the requirements of IFAC, as well as improvement of professional accounting and auditing services.

  • Forming new economic way of thinking;
  • Further development of accounting and auditing in Uzbekistan;
  • Approaching accounting and auditing to the international standards’ requirements so that to meet the criteria of IFAC membership;
  • Guaranteeing professional protection of accountants and auditors.

  • Creation of financial and economic information database;
  • Publishing and distribution of the methodological and normative literature;
  • Providing of Consultancy services;
  • Conducting of beginner and advanced level professional accounting courses;
  • Holding seminars, conferences and round tables.

 OUR HISTORY

The decision to establish the Association of Accountants of Uzbekistan was adopted on the national conference of professional accountants, which was convened in Tashkent on January 17, 1992. The newly created association officially began its activity starting March 13, 1992 and immediately enlisted more than 200 members.

Starting January 1993, the association was renamed to the “Association of Accountants and Auditors of Uzbekistan” having membership base of over 4,000 professional accountants and auditors.

Since November, 2000, Association became an associated member of IFAC.

On Annual Conference held on May 22, 2001 some changes were introduced to the association charter based on which the association adopted new status and was renamed to “National Association of Accountants and Auditors of Uzbekistan” (NAAA).

NAAA of Uzbekistan is a public professional organization of accountants, auditors, researchers and chartered accountants.

NAAA ensures further development of accounting and audit practice in Uzbekistan, approaching them to the international accounting standards (developed by IFAC).

NAAA provides and ensures protection of professional accountants and auditors’ rights and advocates their interests.

NAAA participates in the working groups for development of legislative acts of Business accounting, audit, taxation, financial management and etc.

NAAA provides consultancy and publishing services to its members. The educational Center of NAAA conducts many training courses for accountants (both for beginners and professionals), auditors and managers.

The number of NAAA members as of December 2017 is more than 4500, including 1914 CAPs and 67CIPAs.

NAAA has regional offices in the following cities: Andijan,  Fergana, Gulistan, Karshi, Nukus, Samarkand and Urgench.

NAAA – the possessor of excelled license on publishing and printing – permanently produces:

  • Monthly Statement called “Everything required for an accountant”;
  • Textbooks for CAP and CIPA;
  • Educational, normative and methodological literature;
  • Special accounting supporting forms and ledgers.

In this department you can get different types of consultations in such fields as:

  • Business accounting;
  • Taxation;
  • Due and law.

We provide expert advice to our members, if they have any financial sanction from the state supervisory bodies, and protect their legal rights.

We also hold many specific seminars in different fields, such as:

  • Methodology of Business accounting;
  • Accounting and cost-benefit analysis in organizations;
  • Types of taxation for organizations and individuals;
  • Accounting the privatization transactions;
  • Independent internal and external audit;
  • Accounting and Audit in Joint stock companies.

 

Membership criteria in the NAAA

Members of NAAA are divided into 4 groups:

  1. Full members;
  2. Candidates for full membership;
  3. Associated members;
  4. Honorary members.

NAAA members’ rights:

  • to elect and be elected for the association Council and committees;
  • to participate in all conferences, round tables, meetings, international and national seminars, sittings, and symposia held by NAAA of Uzbekistan;
  • to inquire from NAAA any information or any help you
    need in your professional activity.

NAAA members’ obligations:

  • to follow and comply with all rules of the Association’s Charter;
  • to take an active part in the Association’s public work;
  • to widen, enrich and up-grade your professional skills and competence on continuous basis;
  • to pay annual membership.

The privileges for the NAAA members include:

  • free of charge consultations in accounting and taxation systems. Also you can get a professional advice in our
    legal advice office;
  • an expert advise, if your organization have financial sanctions from the state supervisory bodies, to ensure protection of your legal rights;
  • Informational support service, in case of any changes in Uzbek Financial/Economic Legislation, regulations on accounting and audit;
  • free of charge access to the Association library;
  • the primary right to study on our courses.
